Placed upon earth
Striving for survival
Soaking up knowledge
From all that surrounds
Eyes wide open
Ears pinned back
Eternally questioning
Those on the path

We huddle together
For safety and warmth
To banish the darkness
For protection of worth
Forward we stride
Indavidualism our sheild
Against social awareness
And the horrors it weilds

From singleton to partner
We seamlessly pass
Hero and protector
To siblings amassed
New role and stresses
Passed in our wake
Headlong and onward
With confidant aire

We are but foils
Parting the air
So others may follow
And learn on the way
It’s not for us to be forceful
Or drag them our way
Just guide and enlighten
This who would dare

Born unaware
Of our place on this earth
Kept busy just living
Battling for worth
With hard work and laughter
We find true placement for one
And social acceptance
We take our turn

Enevitability takes us by the hand
Guides us with comfort
As time does pass
Everyone safe under our charge
Prepared in the knowledge
It’s our time to pass
They take on the journey
Upon us too walk
As one with the earth
And the universes birth
We watch them and smile
From positions on high
This is our journey

The beginings of a new day

Morning glow breaks
Crunch of Crispness
Softens as illumination grows
Slurps heard loud
As civilisation awakens
Dailey tasks undertaken
Mother nature  invigorated
Blossoms smile and rivers flow
Creatures scury and hary
Life cascades fresh and new
Life anew and clear thrives
For this is morning
The beginnings of a new day

Dreams

Lighter than air
Tethered to hope
flimsy , brittle dreams
Condemned to drift
Lashed and tied
To aspirations laces
Dare we grab hold
Grasping tight
Too drive forward
Amplifying achievements joy
Too rise above the soulless achievers
The condemners of virtues rising

Stare into the sole
Deep and completely
Draw from the depths
The contentment and truth
Indelibly imprint the glory
Bannish the demons
Harrang and displace
The putrid stench of past
Raise up and live
Be completely self
Defy the odds and raise standards
Be who you were intended to be
Live free and guide with light

Weight of past

The light shatters the dark
The faint voices
Distant permeation of the silence
Clambering and stretching
pugilistic attempts
To clear the path ahead
Happiness defiant
Depressiveness dwelling strong
Battle after battle
The voices reach
Slowly increasing volume
Closer to the light
We scramble slow
Pushing and pulling
Our mental state free
From the weight of past
Towards the free range of futures glow

Wonder bestowed
The miracle of birth
The months of worry
Vanish at once
One vulnerable soul
Naked and fresh
Explodes in to a world
Alien and strange

Tierd and weak
Mother struggles too smile
Tears flood freely
Joy encapsulated inside
Father so masculine
Now a blubbering mess
Fearful of damaging
This delicate frame

To nurture and tend
To their child’s every need
Protector to nurse
discipline and friend
Years of joy
Hardships and pains
Shaping of futures
With knowledge’s guidance
Years of their learning
Past freely too you

Soaking it in
Sponge like and new
Growing so fast
In physical and mental hue
Growing wiser and braver
With every faltering step
New boundaries met
And leapt clean with support

From new-born to adult

From infant to student
Teenager to father new
