The person we fail to see

This is my First blog ever after years talking about how to deal with things and what to do next. Thought putting it out there for others might help someone else.

I was born with a facial defect and have had Operation upon operation to sort it.. This is not being done for sympathy but so others can realise that they are not alone and it is possible to be Comfortable in your own skin.
Well over 59 Maxi Facial operations 4 bouts of Meningitis and many other medical procedures.
I have been called everything from elephant boy to E. T and everything in between from as early as I can remember too present day.
Unlike a lot of my contemporaries I have not went for total reconstruction through plastic’s as I had dealt with more than I wanted operation wise by the time I was 14/15 years old.

I have risen above the haters and bullies through the years and Served my country, become a Nurse, Youth Worker and most of all got married and have 4 Marvellous children.
This is not easy for a lot of people to do but through my future blogs ect I hope to help and pass on my knowledge.
